Passage: Hebrews 11:23-40
Faith is a gift from God.
Faith is gift of certainty. Faith is a gift of substance. Faith is a gift of assurance. Faith is a gift of being sure.
In your walk, it is the proof, the evidence, the conviction and the certainty of what you know is true even if you can't see it with your eyes.
Our faith is the tangibility of what the world believes is intangible.
Romans 10:17 [ESV] 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
John 1:1 [ESV] 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Matthew 5:6 [ESV] 6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Matthew 5:8 [ESV] 8 "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Our faith grows as we immerse ourselves in our relationship with Jesus Christ. And we grow in Christ as we spend time with Him both in prayer and in the Word.
Character traits of who God: First, God is Almighty. Second, God is your Deliverer. God is judge. He is the Lord of armies. He is the Redeemer. Everything He does, He does by His Word which is Jesus.
Hebrews 11:40 [ESV] 40 since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect. We have the promise. That promise is Jesus Christ. That promise is the everlasting Son of the living God. The bright and morning star. The lily of the valley. You have Jesus Christ the Messiah.
Jesus is the answer.
Romans 12:1 [ESV] 1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Let the Word of God change your life.
